Banco Sabadell increases the distribution of its profits to shareholders to 50%

Banco Sabadell will pay a supplementary cash dividend of 0.02 euros per share, and will, subject to obtaining the relevant prior authorisations, launch a share buyback programme

Supplementary dividend of 0.02 euros

During its meeting held on 25 January 2023, the Board of Directors of Banco Sabadell agreed to submit a proposal to the Annual General Meeting for the distribution of a supplementary cash dividend to shareholders of 0.02 euros (gross) per share.

This dividend supplements the interim dividend of 0.02 euros (gross) per share that was paid in cash on 30 December 2022, thus bringing total shareholder remuneration in cash to 0.04 euros (gross) per share, corresponding to the financial year 2022.

The dividend proposal will need to be approved at the next Annual General Meeting, and the supplementary dividend will be paid out once the AGM has been held.

Share buyback

The Board of Directors also agreed to submit a proposal to the Annual General Meeting regarding a share buyback programme, for a maximum amount of €204M, to be paid out of 2022 earnings. This share buyback programme is subject to prior approval by the regulatory authorities.

Total shareholder remuneration, which combines the cash dividend with the share buyback programme, corresponding to the financial year 2022 will therefore be equivalent to 50% of attributable profit.
