Banco Sabadell paid a supplementary cash dividend of €0.02 per share
The 2023 Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved the distribution of a supplementary dividend of 0.02 euros (gross) per share
At its meeting on 25 January 2023, Banco Sabadell’s Board of Directors agreed to submit a proposal to the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders for the distribution of a supplementary dividend of 0.02 euros (gross) per share, to be paid in cash out of the earnings of 2022. This proposal was approved at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on 23 March 2023 and the dividend amount was paid out on 31 March 2023.
This dividend supplemented the interim dividend of 0.02 euros (gross) per share paid on 30 December 2022.
At that same meeting, the Board of Directors also agreed to establish a share buyback, to be purchased out of the earnings of 2022, for redemption, subject to obtaining the corresponding prior authorisations, at a maximum of 204 million euros, the terms of which would be announced separately prior to launch.
In this regard, the 2023 Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders approved a reduction of the share capital by the nominal amount of any treasury shares acquired under the share buyback programme that the Board of Directors intends to launch in the event it receives the corresponding prior authorisations.
Total shareholder remuneration corresponding to the financial year 2022, which would combine the cash dividend with, in the event the prior authorisations were received, the share buyback programme, would be equivalent to 50% of the attributable profit
