Banco Sabadell established the pay-out ratio for 2023 at 50% and will pay a supplementary cash dividend of 0.03 euros per share, thus bringing total shareholder remuneration in cash for the financial year 2023 to 0.06 euros per share. This remuneration will be complemented by a share buyback programme of up to 340 million euros.
During its meeting held on 31 January 2024, Banco Sabadell’s Board of Directors agreed to submit a proposal to the Annual General Meeting for the distribution of a supplementary cash dividend to shareholders of 0.03 euros (gross) per share.
This dividend supplements the interim dividend of 0.03 euros (gross) per share that was paid in cash on 29 December 2023, thus bringing total shareholder remuneration in cash to 0.06 euros (gross) per share, corresponding to the financial year 2023.
The dividend proposal will need to be approved at the next Annual General Meeting, and the supplementary dividend will be paid out once the AGM has been held.
The Board of Directors also agreed to submit a proposal to the Annual General Meeting regarding a share buyback programme, for a maximum amount of €340m, to be paid out of 2023 earnings3.
Total shareholder remuneration, which combines the cash dividend with the share buyback programme, corresponding to the financial year 2023 will therefore be 666 million euros, 55% higher than in the previous year.
